Crime prevention begins from within each community. and prevention is better than the cure. Atlas Global strives to work at the community level to help solve the issues that give rise to criminality taking root. Poverty, hunger, lack of basic accommodation and sanitation, healthcare, education, the list goes on. Identifying possible triggers to crime and helping local communities resolve them is a large part of what Atlas Global is about. Working to develop sustainable livelihoods and alternative development is key to diverting vulnerable people away from crime. We work hand in hand with partner organisations from Civil Society Organisations, INGOs and national government agencies to bring about real, positive and long-lasting change, in support of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 16 and 17.
